Throughout the year we host various events which are always popular with residents. Other activities include hand crafts, flower arranging, painting, singing, reminiscing, carpet bowls to name a few.
For those able we also take residents into Boston. We host many other activities, keeping our residents happy and well. We participate in ‘armchair fitness’ every morning to keep minds and bodies moving!
A new addition to the outside space is our upgraded veg beds. Residents are encouraged to participate in the planting and care of the vegetables, fruit and salad.
Some residents like nothing more than a leisurely stroll around the main park in Boston, where residents are accompanied, liking nothing better but an ice cream sat people-watching.
Trips out to local gardens and places of interest or events are also available. We also enjoy inviting entertainers in for singing and dancing, panto, music, brass bands, recitals and even pets such as Shetland ponies!
Our activities team spend as much quality time with residents as possible and will ask for new ideas to enhance the activity programme.
Birthdays and festive days are celebrated throughout the year. Parties to include families and friends can be arranged to mark special occasions and our chefs are always happy to provide catering. The home's summer house and adjoining patio is a lovely space for entertaining.

"Everyone who visits comments on the friendly and warm atmosphere. It feels safe full of laughter from the staff and residents. Staff like singing while they work and it always puts a smile on Mum’s face. Management are around a lot, chatting to residents, popping into their rooms or just saying hello, this is very reassuring.”

We have visiting pets by appointment, whether they are PAT dogs or those who belong to friends or families. Please phone to check that they can come and visit us first.
If you are wanting to bring your pet with you, please enquire and we will make the necessary assessments. No elephants please!
We welcome visitors at any time but please be sensible! We operate a restricted visiting time during meal times and before 8am and after 8pm, if you wish to visit please ring us to check first. For those residents who are being looked after at end-of-life there are no restrictions but again, please call us.
Please note this may change due to covid-19 rules.
All food is home-cooked by our chefs.
At the beginning of each day breakfast is served in the dining room with a choice of cereals, toasts, juices, porridge, tea, coffee and a cooked breakfast. Breakfast can be served in the rooms if needed. Morning coffee and afternoon tea is served in our bright sunny sitting room or on our patio, which is a quiet oasis despite being in the middle of town. If preferred, residents can use our newly appointed Summer House and visitors are welcome at all times.
A hot lunch with several options is served in the dining room. Other items are available, cooked to order. A supper trolley is brought round to the rooms in the evening.
